After leaving Bristol University, Alex started his career trading emerging market commodities and then moved into private equity fundraising for UK 'scale-ups'.  At 25 however, he founded and was CEO of GapCap, a fintech lender. Having transacted over $500m through the platform, GapCap was sold to Growth Lending in 2019 and Alex became the Group CEO. Alex left in 2021 and is a partner at FBX Capital, whilst also building and investing in other UK businesses.
